It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Carl John Beer of Mullica Hill, NJ. Carl passed away suddenly while enjoying his favorite sport of tennis on Monday, November 28th.

Carl is survived by his beloved wife Joyce, daughter, Jonna, and son, Dylan (and his girlfriend Kayla, and their dog Fletcher).  Also survived by his parents Carl and Bertha Beer, and brother John (Kathy) Beer.

Carl cherished time with his wife and children and enjoyed dinners with friends and a good glass of wine. Carl enjoyed so many activities with his family especially horseback riding, hiking, going to the beach, body surfing, and riding the waves.

He wasn’t one to sit at home. He always wanted to be out and about. He had a love for national parks, the Rolling Stones, concerts, traveling with his family, playing with his dog Lacey, and getting burritos every Friday.

Family and friends are invited to honor Carl at Fertig Funeral Home located at 63 North Main Street, Mullica Hill, NJ 08062. Carl’s viewing will take place on Friday, December 2nd from 6-9 pm and Saturday, December 3rd 9:30-11 am. Saturday’s viewing will be followed by a service at 11 am along with a burial immediately afterward.

My heart aches for all of you!  Carl was always there to help out throughout the years coaching soccer and baseball with Dylan and the boys!  He was always available to help whether or it was warming up the goalie or the pitcher. He loved competition and seeing the boys win! He used to tell me that he never played soccer but he put his heart and sole into learning the game that his son loved!  Fond memories of seeing Carl doing pull ups on the soccer cross bar!  There was probably not a game that Carl and I didnt walk off the field together!  Thanks for the great memories! You will be missed by all of us!

Just remember that Carl's legacy will be his words and actions that you share with others!

To the Beer Family,
After working with Carl for the past two years I came to know him as an intelligent and caring man that always talked about how proud he was of his children. He will be missed, and my heart goes out to you. Deeply sorry for your loss.
